TPS54227: power pad disconnected but intermittently touching ground

Part Number: TPS54227

My customer is using the TPS54227 as alternative option where the layout footprint does not have a power pad. The layout however has grounding vias that could potentially make contact to the TPS54227 power pad. Do you think the intermittent connection to ground could cause issues? The application requires small current, around 200mA.

Can you confirm you are looking at the DDA package? if so, ground connection should not be an issue as per the bond diagram.

I understand the power pad can, and many times should, be grounded. The concern is with the intermittency of an inadvertent contact with a grounded via. Could this create noise or any disturbances? My guess the answer is no, but I need some assurance for the customer.

I checked with design team on this and they confirmed based on bond diagram that the power pad is electrically shorted to ground due to the down bonding. So, contact of the power pad with grounded via will not be an issue. Please let me know if you have any more concerns or questions.
