Hello,
Consider a situation with two batteries of 1 kWh - with different state of charge (SoC), for example with output voltages of 65V and 55V. What we want is a solution when the higher SoC battery discharges into the lower SoC battery through a DC-DC regulator which performs the CC/CV until the two batteries reach similar voltage.
Considerations for this solution are
- Low shutdown current, not Iq (< 25 uA)
- Able to reach near 100% duty cycle so that the batteries can reach
- 10A CC current till the battery voltage equalization happens where CV can happen till say 2A charging current
- Simple control with possibly a GPIO
Is it possible with TPS92640 or any other buck or other DC-DC chipsets of TI?
