TPS659037: PMIC failure to output any power including LDOx_OUT and SMPSx_SW_x

Dear TI support team,

We have facing issue with the PMIC unable to output any power from LDOx_OUT and SMPSx_SW_x even input power is correct.
The product is under production, and found more than 10 pcs of card have the issue.

Hopefully, can get your advice for this case.

Below the measurement is done during debugging.

POWERGOOD = 0V,
REGEN1 = 0V
RESET_IN = 0V, observed a litter bit up in the oscilloscope (0.2V)
RPWRON = 5V
ENABLE1 = 0V
POWERON = 5V
BOOT0 = 0V, observed a litter bit up in the oscilloscope
BOOT1 = 0V, observed a litter bit up in the oscilloscope

VCC SENSE = 5V
VCC SENSE2 = 5V
LDOVRTC_OUT = 0V, observed a litter bit up in the oscilloscope (0.2V)

Chee,

Can you tell me what the OTP variant is? I will need to get an idea of what the exact powerup sequence should be, and then look at all the corresponding waveforms for the appropriate pins. See the example below. Once we know what the OTP is, I will then need to see the necessary SMPS and LDO outputs during powerup as well.

Hello Chee,

It looks like the LDOVRTC is not even coming up properly and that should be the first rail we would expect to see. Let me think on this a bit and I will get back to you tomorrow.

Chee,

The crystal oscillator is what is used to control the LDOVRTC as well as supply a 32KHz clock for the device. It appears your capacitors on the crystal (27pF) are above the datasheet limits (12pF). Please reduce these capacitors (I'd recommend 10pF) and see if any rails are able to powerup.
