TLC5941: Outputs with pre-bias

Part Number: TLC5941

Hi Team,

The 16 outputs (current lower) can be de-energized with VCC ON?

The connected LEDs can also only be supplied later here, or is there a specific power-on sequence here? I think the question is answered by itself when you look at the "LED OPEN DETECTION" function.

Otherwise, the same question… what if the LEDs are already under voltage when the VCC starts up? Are problems to be expected?

Best regards,

Simon

  • Hi Simon,

    1. There is no problem. The power-on sequence doesn't matter for this device.

The 16 outputs (current lower) can be de-energized with VCC ON?

    2. Sorry, I can't get your meaning. Can you kindly make it clear?
