BQ51003: Low Power Wireless Power Transfer

Hi,

I've designed a circuit for wireless power transfer for the purpose of charging the ML2020 Li/MNO2 Battery. It requires max. 3mA charging current and constant 3.1V.

In addition, I would like to hear about my antenna selection. It is a 19x0.8mm 26uH coil.

I would appreciate it if an expert could review my shared schematic and suggest corrections if necessary.

Hi Mehmet,

Welcome to E2E!

Do you have the Ls' for the coil? I'm verifying your capacitors that are in series and parallel with the coil as I don't believe they match the inductance you gave.

Hi Anthony,

Thank you for your reply. I don't have Ls' value for the coil. I am at the beginning of the design, so I don't have any coil and board physically. Is it a good step to take values from an EV kit as a reference? I have a space up to 20mm for the coil. Do you have any other advice for this circuit? Thanks.

Hi Mehmet,

Not having the Ls' value is fine, you can use Ls = Ls' if that is the case and calculate them as a start.

You can use the values from the EV kit as a start but you will more than likely have to adjust these later on.

Other than that I don't see any issues with the circuit schematic.
