TPS560430: Vref is positive coefficient or not

Part Number: TPS560430

Dear Sir,

I am looking TPS560430 with 3.3V fix version.

It seems fix Vo is quite suitable for my MCU 3.3V

But my manager ask me to find the Vref need to be all positive or negative coefficients.

So we can capture the temp and calibrate in our MCU.

Which mean all Vref need to go higher or lower based on different temp, it needs to be a positive or negative slope between different part.

We can't calibrate it, if some part slope is positive, and some parts are negative.

May I know if TPS560430 is suitable here? I can't find this kind of information in the datasheet.

BR

  • Dear Sir,

Below is one of the references, we ask one of vendors to measure 30 parts of DCDC converter.

Some of them are positive coefficients, and some of them are negative coefficients.

So this part is not suitable for us, we need to calibrate the same slope(positive or negative) Vref

Please help to provide your input.

  • Hi Chih

We don't have a figure like that, but you can find in the Fig.11, This is a typical curve , It is obtained by testing multiple devices and make the offset average. All tested devices do not have the identical offset value, but they do share the same trend as the datasheet shows.

  • Dear Gui,

    Thanks for your prompt response.

But Fig.11 is the average number.

Not sure if you have raw data can share with me.

Because my manager ask me to find solution need to be all positive/negative coefficient

I think this fix 3.3V version should be good enough

But my manager ask me to study if there is all positive/negative coefficient DCDC in the market.

If you let me know TPS560430 won't be all positive/negative is also appreciated, so I can convince my manager this solution should be most the suitable part.

So I don't need to survey more vendors, appreciated

    BR

  • Hi Chih

Sorry I don't have the raw data.

Fig.11 is the average data, but each raw set of data should show similar trends, though with slight different offset value.

If that's what you are asking---Yes this device doesn't show completely negative/positive temperature coefficient for Vref, which we can see from the curve it has the max value in the middle of the temperature axis.

    Thank you.
