I'm working with the TPS25750 as a sink. I want to read USB C cable capabilities from an external MCU. Let me clarify my reasons with an example:
If I connect a USB power delivery power supply with a 20V-5A profile, I want to require this profile for my application. With a 5A cable there is no problem, but if I connect a 3A cable I want to detect this situation to require a lower power profile.
I've read in section 2.10 (from host interface manual) that the PD controller will read the capabilites and limit the maximum current in each PDO, but this is for source capabilites.
1. Is this a requirement from Power Delivery protocol when you are working as source? or Is this a exclusive feature from this PD?
2. Is there any similar feature in 2.11 (TX SINK CAPS)?
3. If you have any suggestion to supply this requirement it will be great!
