LM3463: basic questions

Part Number: LM3463

Hi team,

I need some help to select LED control method.

I think TI has extensive knowledge of LED control.

I have some questions about LED Driver and OP AMP for V-I converter.

I plan to configure a circuit that controls 5-10 LEDs (each current is approximately 30mA -100mA).

Could you help me to understand LED control method ?

1. Why is better making a V-I convter using the OP AMP to turn on the LED than simply connecting the resistor and the power supply ?

Is it good to be able to always flow a constant current to the LED regardless of the load?

Even if a constant current flows through the LED, I think it can be different the brightness of the light according to Lot number of LED.

2. What is the difference between using an op amp to flow a constant current and using an LED driver?

I am looking for a driver that will pass a constant current so that each LED can always have the same brightness. Also I need to control the LED individually.

Is it appropriate to use the LM3463 in this case?

Thank you.
