LM5155EVM-FLY: Quantify the benefits of LM5155 for promotion

Part Number: LM5155EVM-FLY
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM3481-FLYBACKEVM, LM3481, LM5155,

Hi guys,

This is FAE supporting INOVANCE, which is the top 1 servo and AC inverter in China. I am trying to promote LM5155 to my costumer by comparing its performance with LM3481. I have LM3481-FLYBACKEVM (5V~32V input and 12V output) and LM5155EVM-FLY (18V~36V input and 5V output), and I have managed to modify the input and output parameter of LM5155 EVM to match LM3481. Now, both of them are 5V~32V input and 12V output.

Well, then I performed efficiency test and the results show that LM5155-FlybackEVM has higher efficiency. However, the main device such as MOSFET, rectifier diode and transformer (turns ratio) are different on these two EVM boards and it seems unfair to compare the efficiency. The ideal way is to design two same boards with controller IC the only difference, but it is impractical and time consuming. So, how could I quantify the benefits of LM5155 using these two EVM boards?
