Our customer wants to know what's the maximum switching frequency supported for LM3409? Can you help to check it?

    Hello Jacky,

    This is not a fixed frequency part.  It is a hysteretic controller.  The frequency is dependent on conditions, Roff, and Inductance values.  It should be able to go to 2+ MHz and we have a min on time requirement of 115ns, but if you go much higher than 2MHz the switching losses can really add up.  The best way to figure out if this will work for their application is to get an EVM, do calculations outlined in the datasheet and test it in their application.
