My design has the TPS2552D.
But when we searched for parts, we found the TPS2552DD in stock.
Funny...when I search for TPS2552DD on the TI website, it only returns TPS2552D results.
But if I search for the complete part number TPS2553DDBVR, I actually get a page and datasheet that are specific for the TPS2553DD:
However, I can't figure out what the differences between TPS2553DD and TPS2553D are. They seem to be identical...

It seems to our PI device, so please let me try to clarify your confusion.
First of all, we do not have the TPS2553DD or the TPS2552DD, we just have the TPS2552/TPS2553 and the TPS2552D/TPS2553D, with a D is different with no D, and its input voltage is 2.7V-6.5V.
Secondly, you see the TPS2553DDBVR is the TPS2553D orderable part number, you can see it in our data sheet, the first D is mean the TPS2552D or TPS2553D, the second D is mean the DBV, its package name, and the last letter R or T, it mean that device how and how many to pack into a package.
