TLC6C5712-Q1: Communicating with 5712 and other devices using LATCH

Part Number: TLC6C5712-Q1

Hello, Team,

Customer would like to share the SPI communication bus with other devices.
We know that multiple 5712 can be connected to a same bus with a cascade connection, would it be able to:

a. With LATCH=H, communicate with other devices
b. With LATCH=L, communicate with TLC6C5712

*i.e. would the device be able to communicate with other devices or same 5712 depending on the LATCH pin status?

Best Regads,
Masaru

  • Hi Masaru,

TLC6C5712 support SPI with other devices in a daisy chain.

The rising edge of LATCH indicates datas are transferred from shift registers to latches or from latches to shift registers.

The falling edge of LATCH indicates the end of a communication cycle.

I think it depends on the SCK, SDI, SDO, LATCH pin.
