EV2300-084: EV2300_Tester and EV2300FWUpdater does not start.

Hello,

I use bqStudio(1.3.86) and EV2300 to evaluate BQ34Z100EVM. The EV2300 firmware version is 3.1c. However, there was a situation where the chemical ID could not be programmed and the gauge monitor suddenly became 0%. After researching the E2E forums, I found several threads discussing bugs with the EV2300 firmware version and the BQ34Z100EVM. Therefore, I used EV2300FWUpdaterUnprogDev and 1050.EV2300FWUpdater to upgrade the firmware of the EV2300, but the program issued the following message and did not start. The message is "You are not licensed to use this feature."

Please let me know how to resolve this issue.

    The EV2300 related programs were designed for older 32 bit Windows. I would suggest that you try on an older system.

    If using a newer operating system, then right click and run as administrator, otherwise the program may not start.

    Note that you will need 2 EV2300 boxes to update the firmware.

    I tried EV2300FWUpdater on Windows XP (32bit), but the result was the same. In Windows 10(64bit), which I'm using now, it was the same even when I ran it as an administrator. I also tried installing the vb6 runtime library. Does the EV2300FWUpdater use any special libraries or components? Can you think of anything else to solve?

    Make sure that bq Evaluation software is installed. The EV2300 firmware updater relies on many components of bq Evaluation software.

    We don't want to use bq30z554. As I wrote in the first question, we evaluate the bq34z100. We want to update the EV2300's firmware from 3.1c to the latest version. You said that we need to install the bq Evaluation software for that and EV2300 firmware updater need that components.
    Rather than that, if we use the EV2400, will it quickly lead to a solution?

    Yes, you can use the EV2400.

    The other message is a standard message that goes out to anyone requesting the bq30z554-R1 bq evaluation software, it does not apply to your case. Once you get the link to download, you can try updating the EV2300 firmware.

    I was able to update my EV2300 to 3.1r. Thank you.

    However, only EV2300FWUpdater version 1.0.0.2 can be uploaded. Version 1.0.0.3 has an automation error.

    Can I uninstall bqEVSW?

    You can uninstall bqEVSW after the update if you don't need it.
