Hey Jonathan,
After further investigation of older datasheets of this device, it seems that the "A" is part of the high-voltage nomenclature. All the high-voltage orderable part numbers have "HV" before the package name and an "A" after the package name.
For reference below, only "HV" orderable part numbers have the "A."
