UCC27614: maximum pulse width and repeatibility

Part Number: UCC27614
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC27322

Hi Team,

Good day! Kindly check the maximum pulse width and repeatibility of this device.

Our customer was looking at the datasheet for this particular chip and I saw that "Minimum input pulse width
that passes to the output" is typically 9ns. May I know the max pulse width for this? They plan to use it with 500ns-1us. Is that possible?

Can we also know the repeatability of this chip? For example, can they be triggered 2 times in a row with 200ns pulse width with 400ns in between pulses?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards,

Jonathan

  • Hello Jonathan,

There is no maximum pulse width; you could use it with DC inputs if you wanted to. However, The IC is designed for driving a capacitive load such as the gate of a FET. It can only supply the 10A as a pulse and not DC.

The pulses you describe sound like very normal use-cases for the device. If you would like to simulate it, we have a Simplis model for this device, but if you would rather use PSpice, the UCC27322 model is pretty similar to the UCC27614.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

    Thanks,

    Alex M.
