LP87524B-Q1: Are there any solutions and suggestions that can make the PWM switching freq & ppm more precise?

Part Number: LP87524B-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LP87524J-Q1

Hi Team

The LP87524BJP-Q1 currently used by the customer will generate spurious signals in the RFIC for more precise control!

Are there any solutions and suggestions that can make the PWM switching freq & ppm more precise?

  • Hi Kygo,

Could you be more specific exactly which device they are using? If the customer is using LP87524B-Q1 or LP87524J-Q1 and the issue is with BUCK0 and BUCK1 they could enable forced PWM. Those two bucks on those two OTPs will switch in PFM mode in low load conditions to improve efficiency. However, it will create a lot of low frequency spurs to the spectrum.

Forced PWM bits (BUCKx_FPWM) are located in BUCKx_CTRL1 registers.

    BR,

    Samuli
