TPS51215A: Minimum value that can be set for Rtrip

Hi,

The TPS51215A can adjust the current limit by the Rtrip constant connected to the TRIPpin. Please let me know if there is a minimum value that can be set for Rtrip. Is Rtrip (min) 2.5kΩ?

・Rtrip(min) = (VTRIP(min)/8)/10uA = (0.2V/8)/10uA = 2.5kΩ

The minimum recommended Trip resistor is 20kΩ which will produce a nominal Vtrip voltage of 0.2V with a 10μA TRIP pin current. This will program a current limit of 25mV (20-30mV) at the low-side FET.

The divide by 8 factor is between the voltage at the TRIP pin and the sensed voltage at the MOSFET Source-Drain voltage drop.
