TPS659037: TPS659037:

Part Number: TPS659037

We have a TPS TPS6590378.  The default I2C1 address is 0x48.  All the data sheets seem to indicate we can change that to 0x58.

How can we change the boot up I2C address to 0x58

  • Hi Mark,

The I2C address is determined by the OTP settings of the device. The register that controls the I2C address is the I2C_SPI register (refer to the register map found here) although I would recommend not changing the I2C address if it is not needed. I will also note that this change will not be stored and will need to be made every time the part is power cycled.

    Best regards,

    Layne J
