Hi team,
I have a question about how TPS548B28 soft start work.
If use internal reference voltage, the constant current keep charging soft start capacitor Css until the voltage of SS/REFIN pin arrive internal reference voltage 0.6V. Generally, if constant current is still here, why Css wouldn't keep charging but keep voltage at 0.6V. I am curious about how TPS548B28 bypass the constant current when SS/REFIN pin charge to 0.6V and keep the voltage of SS/REFIN pin firmly.
BR,
Jimmy
Hello Jimmy,
The soft start has internal clamping circuit that prevent it from going above the desired level once the CSS reaches that level. Basically there is internal comparator that monitors that SS voltage.
Thanks!
