UCC12051-Q1: Decryption failed, Unable to decrypt the data.

Part Number: UCC12051-Q1

Hi Experts,

Seeking your guidance on this query:

I find simulation file of UCC12051DVEQ1 IC in TEXAS website. But, when I am trying to run, it is showing like UCC12051DVEQ1_SIMPLIS.net;74): Decryption failed: Unable to decrypt the data.

Using SIMetrix-SIMPLIS Elements 8.5

If you send the simulation file it will be very much helpful to me
The model is encrypted and runs only in SIMLPIS version 8.2 and above.\
I opened the model, in that model this was written
For TI simulation software what software and do I need to download it?
---
I am seeing threads here that this may need full version (I was able to confirm to the customer that they are using trial version).

Trial version will support only limited number of nodes, but this simulation file is having a smaller number of nodes, which is not clear.

For your assistance please.

Regards,
Archie A.

  • Archie,

The first issue is that the model will not run in the free version of Simplis (Elements) because it is encrypted. Secondly, if it were an unencrypted model, it would then violate almost every circuit threshold Elements is capable of supporting. The number of nodes, capacitors, logic gates, etc are very restricted in the Elements version. the number of nodes and circuit elements is not only the few components placed around the UCC12051-Q1 model but includes all circuitry used internally to build the entire hierarchal model. You really need the full version to be able to use most (I would even say...all) Simplis hierarchal IC models.

  • Thanks, Steve.

The customer is using 7.2  version only. Any other solution than upgrading to full version?

  • Archie,

No other solution that I'm aware of. You need Simplis to run Simplis models.

  • Hi Steve,

The customer reiterated that he was advised by someone from our support that there is a TI tool that can simulate UCC12051DVEQ1. Any other tool to simulate this? Because right now, I am only seeing SIMPLIS model.

    Thank you.

  • Archie,

SIMPLIS is all we have. If his simulation needs are only device level/behavioral, you could ask for his test conditions and run some transient, start-up, steady state sims. This can be done inside TI, we have numerous SIMetrix/SIMPLIS license seats.
