To be honest, I would rather recommend doing a layout based on good power supply layout rules instead of just copying the EVM layout. E.g. some of the components are very old.

My application is not that critical, and I would rather save the time of generating symbols/footprints where possible.

I don't know how your file system is organized, but would it be possible for somebody else (you perhaps?) to sned the files? It would help me a lot.
