LM5155-Q1: LM5155 SEPICE to driver transformer for Half-bridge power

Part Number: LM5155-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM5155

hi expert

in my application, i use LM5155 for SEPICE. Then i use 15V output to do Half-bridge power Topologies that are used 12 transformers. ( i use another IC to driver two MOS)

it seems like more Inductive load.

how can i  evaluate the limitation about Inductive load in LM5155 SEPICE?

pls share your valuable advice.thanks

  • Hello Jay,

Am I correct that you are using LM5155 for SEPIC converter? I think the problems that inductive loads might cause are excessive voltage spikes, so you need to make sure that these will not get back to the converter and damage anything there. In addition negative spikes might be another problem. I could imagine that the information about driving a motor might be helpful in this case. My knowledge is in this case limited, sorry.

    Best regards,
    Brigitte
