TPS22916: Ship Mode Switch design

Hello team,

My customer try to replace Switch S1 and S2 following TIDA-00556. S1 to Remote controller power on Key and S2 to FET with High/Low Signal.

I guess Ship mode operate during power off of Remote controller. So, Exit ship mode SW1 can connect with power on key of Remote controller. Also, SW2 can be replaced to FET with High/Low Signal.

Please see my attachment.

Is it good to use? If not, do I need to have check or improve the SCH?

Hello Ken,

I do not see any issues with the implementation you've shown, but what signal are you planning on using to enter ship mode initially? (i.e turn SW2 ON)

Also, SW1 was placed where it was is to exit ship mode regardless of the amount of SW1 button presses after (given the system remains powered and SW2 is not pressed). Changing the location of SW1 will mean pressing the remote control will have an affect by turning on and off the system power to TPS22916. I'm not sure if this was intentional or not.
