TPS3828: Questions about WDI Pin

Part Number: TPS3828
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS3435

Hi Team,

This is Jayden, my customer is evaluating TPS3823A-33DBVR. I have two questions about WDI Pin.

The application is Buffer (Output)+Resistor+WDI Pin.

Q1: When I need to turn off the watchdog, what's the leakage current value is allowed to draw/sink when WDI input pin is judged as high impedance? In the datasheet, only the allowable draw/sink current of WDI at high-level and low-level is given as follows. Can the leakage current less than 15uA be considered as high impedance?

Q2: When I need to enable the watchdog function, especially when the previous BUFFER outputs 3.3V high-level voltage, because it is also necessary to ensure that the watchdog WDI pin can receive enough VIH threshold value, that is, 0.7 * 3.3V=2.3V. So, I need to know the impedance value of the WDI pin is when 3.3V power is supplied to determine the series resistance value I applied above?

Or it may not be necessary to connect the resistance in series between the Buffer and WDI?

Many thanks.

BRs

Jayden
