TPS65320D-Q1: TPS65320D-Q1 Buck-Regulator Output Voltage drop

Part Number: TPS65320D-Q1

Hi

We use the TPS65320D-Q1 Buck-Regulator output to transfer 3.3v to the MCU, and the MCU will turn on the LDO enable pin and mosfet to transfer 1.2 and 1.5v. The current problem is
When the MCU turns on the MOS and LDO enable, there will be a voltage drop at the Buck-Regulator 3.3v output terminal, about 0.5v, which will cause the MCU restart. Do you have any suggestions to solve this voltage drop?

  • Hi TzuYang,

Can you try followings to solve the issue?

    1. Adding a RC delay to the GPO of the MCU to turns on the MOS and LDO slowly (soft start).
    2. Adding more capacitance on the 3.3V output to supply the transient load.

      Thanks!
