BQ76952: FUSE configuration

Part Number: BQ76952

Hi Team,

Customer found their FUSE pin function has some trouble, the setting is:

when the BAT voltage exceeds 42.5V, the secondary protection is triggered, and the FUSE pin is pulled high to fuse the external fuse. However, the FUSE pin is not pulled high now.

I have checked and not found problems. Would you please help take a look here? Thanks a lot.

BRs,

Francis

  • Hi Francis,

The settings look correct and I just tested them to verify. Which secondary protection is triggered when you test? According to your settings, the FUSE pin will go high for 20 seconds and then return low.

The 42.5V setting is the required voltage for the FUSE pin to function. This is not a protection threshold. There is no threshold for the battery stack voltage. You can set SOV and program a secondary protection on the cell voltages.

    Regards,
