Very sorry for the delay.

To be clear, the app note you cited has the UCC28070 in a semi-bridgeless configuration. That said, the current synthesizer feature that the -070 makes this particular design relatively straightforward. Regarding the UCC28065, I could not find a design example of it being used in a semi-bridgeless configuration. However, the attached paper describes a way to configure the UCC28061 (a predecessor of the UCC28065) as a semi-bridgeless PFC.
