Hi
i am currently looking for an alternative load switch with rise time <100uS.
existing load switch is with rise time 1mS, and after Load switch using LM3679 for 3.3-1.8V generation and giving 3.3 and 1.8V to MCU of Microchip having the Supply core Slope of 6V/mS.
Rise time of Load switch is affecting the Functionality of MCU, due to that. and if we change to other Load switch with 100uS and lesser rise time, MCu works fine.
hence want to know the Risetime and the Core vtg slope relation between the Load switch and the MCU in terms of Slew rate.
any load switch suggestions with Lesser rise time =<=150uS, and RDSon<40mohm, please suggest.
Hello,
Our load switches typically provide slew rate control in the form of a CT pin which allows for a user set slew rate. This allows the user to adjust the slew rate of your device to meet your systems timing requirements, and limit inrush current. Due to this flexibility, we have many load switch solutions with a rise time <100us.
The TPS22992 would be a good option. Below are the rise times to expect based off your Vin and CT capacitor values with a Vbias=5V
With lower bias you will get slower timing; if you bias the device at a lower voltage, the turn on will be slower.
Best Regards,
Elizabeth
