TPS65140: Instantaneous switch 65140, vout output and input voltage are 5V, after shutdown, wait 2s to start, vout output normal 12V

Part Number: TPS65140

After turning off, you need to wait for 2S, and you can output 12V normally after turning on. If it is turned off and turned on again immediately, the chip output is only 5V, which is the same as the input voltage. The normal voltage we need is 12V, what is the reason?

  • Hi Aiwen,

    1. Could you please measure the voltage of EN, ENR and PG after the device "turn off and turn on immediately"?

    2. Waveform of 12V Vout during "turn off and turn on period" is more helpful for analyzing this issue.

    3. And if you disconnect the load of 12V Vout, will the IC re-start successfully when turn off and turn on immediately?
