TPS25831-Q1: Type-C detection vs DCP charging schemes detection

Part Number: TPS25831-Q1

Hello,

At TPS25831-Q1, which runs first when a device is connected to DFP via a cable, detecting CC for Type-C or the auto-detect state machine that supports all DCP charging schemes?

Best regards,

K.Hirano

  • Hi K.Hirano,

It should be the CC detected first, and then start the auto-detect state machine, because the BC1.2 need the VBUS first, so we need to finish the CC handshake, and power on the VBUS, then will start the DCP machine.

    Best Regards,

    Kuno
