Hi Nagai,

The power stage's temperature is measured from its lead-frame. The source junction of the sync FET sits right on top of the lead-frame of the power stage which is why the output can be used as an accurate measurement of the junction temperature of the sync FET.

Yes, I can see them from the data sheet.

But, I would like to know the details.

Could you be more specific about the sensor location and type?

Hi Nagai,

The temperature sensor is located on the driver IC which is adjacent to the low side FET on the leadframe. The sensor is a diode-based circuit that is calibrated at final test.
