TPS1HB08-Q1: How much current limit min and max spec are @ILIM=open with TJ=-40, 25, and 150C?

Part Number: TPS1HB08-Q1

Hi team,

How much current limit min and max spec are @ILIM=open with TJ=-40, 25, and 150C?

We use TPS1HB08BQPWPRQ1 and datasheet says ICL = 104Atyp, but there is no information for min/max. If there are separated spec among TJ range, could you disclose them?

Regards,
Ochi

  • Hi Ochi-san,

We do not recommend using the device with ILIM pin floating. This is considered a fault state of the device. We have the internal limit in the case the RILIM resistor is damaged and opens.

For large current limit, we recommend the use of version F device.

    Thanks,

    Shreyas

RILIM=floating is recommended in its datasheet which is said on" Table 2. Connections for Optional Pins". Is it really not recommended using floating?

    Do you have upper data?

  • Hi Ochi-san,

While this pin can be left floating, it is a fault state of the device.

Version A/B is not recommended to be purposely floated. This pin descriptions means that in the event of a RILIM failure, the device will protect itself but the accuracy in these high current limit values is not defined. For highest current limit supportable, please use Version F of this device.

    Thanks,

    Shreyas
