Hi,

I am planning to use BQ25302 in one of my projects, I've a concern related to the external power path as my application works on unremovable battery, Can the battery be charged by external 5V power supply when the load is connected?

Hi,

In general 5V power source should not be applied to a single-cell lithium-ion battery directly. Please double-check with the battery vendor.

Hi Ning,

Thank you for the response, let me check on the charging voltage.

But what about the load connection during charging?

Hi,

When the load is connected to the BAT pin directly, the device is unable to tell the current flowing into the battery and the current flowing into the load respectively. Please consider 9.2.2 Typical Application with External Power Path on the d/s.
