I reconfigured the EVM board as described, so that I can control the output voltage using the tracking pin. With a load of 1.2k, an output setting of ~40V and an input voltage of 12V, R4 failed within around 30 seconds of activating the board. I replaced R4 but the board presents a short circuit to the supply. Would you have any idea why this failure would occur? It seems strange as R4 is in series with an input capacitor. Is this due to excessive ripple current?
