What does the test condition "non-switching" mean in the datasheet?

Hi,

In this test condition, we add a voltage to the output voltage that is 10% greater than the target value. For example, the target output voltage is 5V, add 5.5V voltage to the Vo. Thus Vfb is greater than Vref. SW is non-switching. Hope this can help you. Thanks.

Is there a special reason for listing non-switching test condition?

Is there a difference between CCM and non-switching test conditions?

Hi Tabata-san,

No particular reason, it's one of the standard tests. CCM is continuous conduction mode. In this case, the inductor current is continuous and SW is switching. These are two completely different working conditions from non-switching. Hope this can help you. Thanks.
