TPS1H100-Q1: Please kindly help review the customer's schematic diagram, thank you!

Dears,

Please kindly help review the customer's schematic diagram, thank you!TI_Expander+TPS1H100AQPW.pdf

  • Hello,

    • Could you comment on what is being driven with this high-side switch? What is the nominal load current and what is the nature of the load (capacitive/inductive/resistive/etc.)?
    • While the TPS1H100-Q1 works, I would also recommend looking at our current generation TPS1HC100-Q1 as it will have better supply availability
    • I do not see any reverse polarity/reverse current protection on the device (such as the ground network). Is there a diode on the input side to block reverse current?
    • Note when there is a fault condition like overcurrent/open load, the CS pin is pulled to Vcs,h which is max 4.9V. Make sure that your MCU is tolerant of this voltage or have a zener clamp to limit the voltage

    Best Regards,
    Tim
