BQ25622: BQ25622RYKR -Incorrect test parameters

Part Number: BQ25622
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25620

1.DS test exception

2.

TS_BIAS pin No voltage output, VBUS is powered on 5V, VBAT is powered on 3.8V, nEN=low, REGN =4.886V; The normal BQ25622 TS_BIAS voltage should equal REGN.

3.

BQ25622 does not have DPDM detection function, but this function is detected

Please help to confirm whether it was changed or the wrong material was sent.

  • Hello,

Thank you for reaching out via E2E. Please see my comments on your questions below.

    - The TS_BIAS pin is internally connected to the REGN LDO via a back to back MOSFET switch. When no temperature measurement is being taken the switch is disabled to disconnect the thermistor and resistor divider from the REGN LDO to reduce IC power consumption.

    -  The register read from REG38 of 02 hex shown in your attached image indicates you have a BQ25620 IC and not a BQ25622 IC. This would explain why the function is detected. The BQ25620 also does not have a TS_BIAS pin, this would explain why TS_BIAS voltage does not match expectation.

    Best Regards,

    Garrett
