TLC59116: slave address

Part Number: TLC59116

Hi team,

For our part TLC95116, since 1101 011 is reserved for SWRST I2C bus address.

And 1101 000 is also used as defualt.

So both '1101 011' and '1101 000' could not used as I2C slave address, if this understanding is correct?

    Hi Mia,

    Your understand is not all correct:

    1. For SWRST address, the device will do the software reset after sending 2 specific byte1 and byte2, and without these 2 bytes data, the device will not be reset. Which means you can use the address as slave address, and it can work properly with the other register writing command.

    2. For the All call address, we suggest don't use it as slave address because the All call function is enabled after powering up.
