Hi everyone,
I am using LM5155 for boost Converter design. The input is 3.6V and output is 12V/0.5A. The design runs good at low temperature but the current drain from power supply keeps increasing when temperature is above 220F and kind of unstable. I am not sure which parts causes the issue. LM5155 and inductor are 125C, MOSFET and Diode are 175C. All resistors and caps are at lest 155C. Thanks a lot!
Regards,
Michael
Hello Michael,
Thanks for reaching out. Can you send scopeshots of the voltages at SS,CS,FB and Vout, both in hot and cold condition please?
And can you send a thermal picture and a picture of the Layout as well? In what order of magnitude does the current drain increase?
We are looking forward to hear from you.
Kind regards,
Moritz
