TPS56C215: inductor selection

Hi,

Please find the following table for i/p voltage ,o/p voltages and Iout value.

switching frequency is 800Khz , i am not able to select inductor value since the webench tool and datasheets values are conflicting.

can you recommend L values to be used for the given configureation at 800Khz.

6 1.2 2.10

currently i have designed using 0.47 uH inductor (SPM6530T-R47M170) , please comment on this too.

    Hi Nikhil,

    I would suggest using the datasheet values since the WEBENCH is more complicated to get the exact conditions.

    Here are my suggestions:

    1.8V/800kHz = 1-1.2uH

    3.3V/800kHz = 1.5uH

    2.5V/800kHz = 1-1.2uH

    1.2V/800kHz = 0.68uH

    You can also use the SIMPLIS model to simulate the circuit under different inductor values to see which will be suitable for your system.
