TPS62872-Q1: Reduce output ripples and design recommendations

Hi Expert,

My customer is using TPS62872-Q1 for SOC testing, but find the ripple is a little large with 2.2Mhz. The tested results is PP 70~80mV, using 220nH can reduce the ripple to 50~60mV, but customer want the ripples can be with 10-20mV, or it can't meet customer's SOC requirements.

Can you please give some suggestions on reducing output ripples?

And customer reflects output capacitor location is different between our datasheet recommended design and EVM board, how do you recommended in customer design?

    Hi Daoyan,

    We can optimized the output ripple with higher switching frequency and optimizing the comp setting with output caps selection.

    Can you share more details on the power rail requirements like load , transient steps and schematic?
