TPS3870-Q1: TPS3808E-Q1 vs TPS3870-Q1

Part Number: TPS3870-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS3808E-Q1, TPS3808

Dear Ti,

I want to know that different TPS3808E-Q1 from TPS3870-Q1.

Thank you.

Best Regards,

Inho Jeon

  • Hi Inho,

TPS3808E-Q1 has very low quiescent current typically 0.6μA. It has a high threshold accuracy typically 1% and fixed threshold voltages for standard voltage rails from 0.9 V to 5 V and adjustable voltage down to 0.405 V are available.
    TPS3870-Q1 has Low quiescent current 7 µA (Max). It has fixed threshold level 1.5 V, 1.8 V, 2.5 V, 2.8 V, 2.9 V 3.3 V, 5 V.

They both have a CT pin, which it provides factory-programmed and user-programmable reset delay timing options. The reset delay time for TPS3808E-Q1 can be set to 20 ms by disconnecting the CT pin, 300 ms by connecting the CT pin to VDD using a resistor, or can be user-adjusted between 1.25 ms and 10 s by connecting the CT pin to an external capacitor. For TPS3870-Q1 The Capacitor Time (CT) pin is used to select between the two available reset time delays designed into each device and also to adjust the reset time delay by connecting a capacitor.

Depending on the design requirements please find more information on the datasheet.
