UCC28180: Use a MOSFET Driver depending on power - UCC28180

Hello TI,

I would like to use the UCC28180 as a PFC for 1.5 kW or even 2kW (after modifying the model).

I wanted to see with you if it is necessary to use a driver for this power range to correctly drive the MOSFET.

Because I've seen that in some cases of application, they put one.

Hi Bastien,

Thank you for the query on UCC28180.

Yes, driver is definitely recommended for these power levels of 2KW. (like UCC27511)

Most of the designs which do not use a driver are only upto 400W, the other designs upto 700W we use bjt driver circuit.
