TPS92633-Q1: RGB_LED

Genius 4710 points
Part Number: TPS92633-Q1

Our customer is evaluating TPS92633-Q1.

Input PWM signal from MCU to 7,8,9 pin of LED driver,The RGB_LED is lit with a constant current of 10mA for each of the three terminals.

The problem is that it lights up white and turns off after a few minutes.

This phenomenon does not occur if they light it in a single color (such as green) instead of white.

When they investigated the cause, they found that pins 7, 8, and 9, which input PWM signals, were low.

They would like to know if there is a mode in which the input side becomes Low.

  • Hello Kura,

I will be happy to assist. In order to be able to find a root cause for your problems I will need for you to provide more information. Would you be able to share your schematic as well as waveforms of the channels during this event. Specifically the inputs, the ouptuts, the FAULT pin and the enable pin?

Would you also be able to share with me:

    Input Voltage,

LED forward Voltage, (I assume RGB due to nature of situation, please correct if mistaken).

    Control scheme being used.

Resistor values for RIREF, RSLS_REF, RICTRL, RSNSX, RRESX.

There might be many issues causing channels to stop working, such as a misfiring of the numerous possible fault conditions so in order to help I will need a thorough understanding of your design.

    Best,

    Pedro Arango Ramirez.
