LM2765: Replacing LM2767

Part Number: LM2765
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM2767,

We have used the LM2767 on several EVM's and would like to replace it with the LM2765.

The output load is less than 1mA and drives the gates of 3-5 external fets only, and the input slew rate is very slow.  We need to generate 9.9V from a 3.3V rail, so we have it configured as a tippler.

Do you see any issue with this change?  I understand that the footprint is different and the enable will need to be tied off appropriately.

  • Hello Chuck,

Normally this should work right away. The big difference is the higher switching frequency, so you might be able to reduce the ceramic caps you are using, but it should work with the 10uF caps as well.

    Best regards,
    Brigitte
