Hello,

I selected TPS2549-Q1 for an OEM project but according to semiconductor assessment result it was classified as legacy technology in terms of node size and fab process. Can you offer me USB BC1.2 charger w/ cable comp. BiCMOS 180nm or below.(LBC8 or LBC9)

TPS2549-Q1 integrates cable compensation and you can refer to the datasheet 8.3.2.1 Design Procedure for more details.

For the BiCMOS and semiconductor process, TPS2549-Q1 used LCB7 and let me loop our marketing Leanne Zhang for further questions support.

What's the reason why OEM and customer is concerning about legacy tech?

TPS2549IRTERQ1 is sourcing from RFAB and silicon wafer is in 300mm.

Hello Leanne,

OEM ask because of global semiconductor shortage/allocation in last few years. As far as I understand, they don't want to go with legay technology to reduce shortage risk. Do you have any LBC8 or LBC9 usb charger?

Hi Beyazit,

Yes, we have TPS25830A-Q1, TPS25846-Q1, TPS2585x-Q1(x:0,1,2,4,5,8,9) , TPS25772-Q1, and TPS25762-Q1 sourcing from LBC9 process.

Addition to LBC9 product family, they also include TPS2583X-Q1, TPS2584X-Q1,TPS2585X-Q1,TPS2586X-Q1 family.
