UCC27424: Replacing UCC27424DR

Part Number: UCC27424
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCC27524A, UCC27624

Hello,

I was looking for a pin-to-pin compatible product of UCC27424DR (SOIC) with a higher supply voltage range, and UCC27524A looks a good alternative. But, the UCC27524A product folder on TI.com recommends UCC27624, too.

Which of the UCC27524A and the UCC27624 do you recommend for a new design if both satisfy the system requirements? The ENABLE function is not used.

Best regards,
Shinichi Yokota

  • Hi Shinichi,

The UCC27624 is a newer part with more robust ratings. It has a higher supply voltage range and negative voltage protection on input and enable pins to -10 V, compared to UCC27524A's -5 V. Based on how both parts satisfy the system's requirements, I would recommend choosing the UCC27624.

    Thanks,

    Rubas
