BQ25601D: The function of reverse blocking MOSFET RBFET

Hi team,

Could you please explain the function of RBFET? I don't understand why put a MOSFET between VBUS and HSFET, does this use to limit the Vin DPM or Iin DPM? Thanks!

Hi,

RBFET refers reverse-blocking FET. It helps to prevent the current flowing from the load side to the input supply side.

Could you share some case that the current may flow back? Can't HSFETs do this?
