Hi Team,
Could you please review the attached TPS16412DRC schematic?
Thanks for the reponse Kunal.
We need to inititae the procuremnet of the iC .So just confirm whteher the IC will be capable for the function(1A limit and Current monitoring through 3.3V ADC). So that we can initite the IC procuremnet.
After the detailed comments we will take care for the passives.
Thanks Kunal for the quick repsonse.
Please have a review on the passives and update your valuable comments.
Hi Monisha,
Overall looks fine. I think you don't need resistor divider at IMON pin. Actually in equation GIMON is fixed . When you put that value you in equation you will get VIMON as 0.42V for 0.52A current.
Device is actually mirroring load current at IMON pin through a fixed gain.
You can also consider transient protection.
Can you share details on application and end equipment? You can message me on private e2e chat also if you can't share info here.

Kunal Goel
HI Thanks for the update,
Here one doubt is,
The below equation i considerd for calculation.
IOUT =VIOCP - (OSIMON × RIOCP) /(GIMON × RIOCP)
Iout= 0.52A , Imon=1A
Gain = Imon/Iout=1.96
RIOCP=16.2K
OSIMON=0.05uA
VIOCP=16.47V
But as per your comments, Gain i need to consider 50uA/A
That case VIOCP Iam getting 0.00042V with the above equation. Please let us know the values i considered is correct or not?
Also for 500mA this much lesser volatge is output means 3.3V ADC input resolution will be very less for me. As per my application. I want to monitor the current through the efuse For protection and biasing purposes. so need a high accuracy here.
Hi Monisha,
Looks like you did not consider multiplying by thousand in 16.2K=> 16*1000. Please check again. It will be 0.42V. Is 0.42V fine for you?

Thanks Kunal. We will update the same in schematic also. Thanks for your time and inputs.
