LM9061: Delay

Part Number: LM9061
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS4811-Q1

Hi experts,

Is the time for LM9061 input rising edge to switch conduction this Ton 1.5 ms? (Delay = 1.5ms?)

Why delay is so high? (ADI's high side driver LTC4440 takes about 50ns, customers expect us to be close to their level)

Are there other low-delay high-side driver recommendations? (Ericsson want delay<300ns )

Is it feasible to just use high-side of half bridge driver?

Thank you!

Best regards,

  • Hi Tommy,

TPS4811-Q1 is the best fit from our portfolio. Why the delay is important ? Are they going to use for switching applications. ?

  • Hi Rakesh,

    Thanks for your reply!

Ericsson need high side driver for follow situation: (The voltage switching time needs to be less than 2us,so driver delay is important)

What is the propagation delay of TPS4811-Q1 when CL=3.83nF?

    The switch used by the customer is BSC110N15NS5. Its CL = Qg/12 = 46/12 = 3.83nF

Compared to ADI's LTC4440, TPS4811's charge pump function is recognized by customers because does not require additional external power supply, but the large delay is a concern for customers.

The customer will make a decision within two days, and due to delays, they are currently leaning towards the ADI solution.

Thank you for your quick response.
